See All ReviewsWalked in for a quick snack while filling my gas at what I believed to be just a gas station and was caught by the wonderful smell of steak on the grill. I walked back outside just to move my car from the pump so I could get some tacos! Many menu items to choose from but the steak smelled so good. Very glad I decided to stop in. Great authentic tacos, nice clean tables, big sauce bottles for you to use as much or as little as youd like. Even a tv to watch. Dont miss your opportunity to try this place!
The place is in a gas station which should’ve been my first warning but I was hungry and we hadn’t ate all day. We got a birria taco, tamales (chicken), and some steak and carnitas tacos along with an horchata. The horchatas are flavorless. Rice and water. No sweet. The birria tacos? Decent. Filled with meat and cheese, cilantro and onions. The salsas? Terrible. None of them were barely hot and had little flavor. The carnitas tacos? Flavorless. I tasted the meat by itself and it was bland. The steak tacos were just as bland. Tamales were big in size and had decent flavor but as someone who grew up on the west side of Chicago with tons of Mexican food? This isn’t it. I would never come here again for gas station Mexican food because that’s exactly what it tastes like.
Delicious food you don't expect coming out of a gas station. Lots of flavors, fast and plenty to choose from. A couple of tables available if you choose to sit inside and eat.
